Backing Minds

BackingMinds is a Swedish venture capital firm founded in 2016 with a mission to support startup entrepreneurs who are typically overlooked by traditional VC networks. The firm focuses on identifying and investing in high-potential founders from underrepresented backgrounds, particularly those outside major tech hubs or those not fitting the conventional startup mold. Currently, BackingMinds is investing from its second fund, which has raised around €50 million. The firm has a diversified portfolio, including companies like CemVision in building products, TrusTrace in supply chain traceability, and Transfer Galaxy, a digital remittance platform. The team, led by founding partners Sara Wimmercranz and Susanne Najafi, is based in Stockholm and operates with a hands-on approach.
