About
FOV Ventures is a European early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2021, with offices in Helsinki, London, and Paris, focused on founders building at the intersection of spatial computing, AI, 3D, and robotics. The firm is led by two Founding Partners: Dave Haynes, based in the UK, who previously led HTC's $100 million Vive X fund in EMEA and was part of the Seedcamp Fund III team and a founding team member at SoundCloud; and Petri Rajahalme, based in Finland, who was formerly Managing Director of Nordic XR Startups with eight XR investments including the successful AR-cloud exit of Immersal, and helped build the Finnish XR ecosystem through a 30 million euro Business Finland program. FOV invests at pre-seed and seed stages, writing initial checks of 100,000 to 1 million euros and leading pre-seed rounds. The firm has made 37 investments across consumer, enterprise, and industrial applications as well as infrastructure and platform-layer companies. Named portfolio companies include Move.ai, a markerless motion capture platform backed alongside Animoca and Play Ventures; Geeiq, a gaming and virtual world data intelligence company backed alongside YFM Capital and Ascension; Flow Computing, which raised a 4 million euro pre-seed for its SuperCPU technology; Distance, named Most Promising Finnish Startup in 2025; and ai|coustics, an audio AI company. Doublepoint, another FOV portfolio company, was acquired by Oura in April 2026. FOV's EDGE network includes senior leaders from Meta, Epic Games, Google, and Snap, alongside founders Matt Miesnieks of 6D.ai and Jussi Makinen of Varjo. This network provides portfolio companies with access to the most experienced operators in spatial computing — a category FOV believes will define the next major computing platform cycle.
