Fundamental VC is a Bengaluru-based sector-agnostic seed-stage venture capital firm founded in 2022 by Saswat Sundar and Abhishek Rathi, who previously worked together at LetsVenture, a leading Indian startup fundraising platform. The firm received SEBI approval in March 2022 and launched its debut fund with a target corpus of $130 million. Fundamental leads pre-seed and seed rounds with an average ticket size of $1.5 million, aiming to back approximately 30 startups over the fund's lifetime. Limited partners include unicorn founders, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and senior technology executives drawn from Singapore, the Middle East, and the US. The firm invests across consumer internet, SaaS, insurtech, healthtech, fintech, gaming, and AI verticals. As of September 2025, the portfolio spans 18 companies with strong concentration in fintech (six investments) and enterprise software (five investments). Named portfolio companies include StockGro, a stock market education platform; Redcliffe Labs, a diagnostic healthtech company; Blu Smart Mobility, an electric ride-hailing service; Dukaan, an e-commerce platform builder; Agnikul, a space launch vehicle manufacturer; Eloelo, a social gaming platform; TradeX, an event trading platform; and Kyno Health, an at-home healthcare provider. The most recent investment was Superfam.app, an AI-powered family management platform, in September 2025. Fundamental's founding team brings rare dual credibility: deep knowledge of India's startup funding ecosystem from their time at LetsVenture, and the operational networks to connect portfolio companies with the right follow-on investors. The firm leads rounds from inception, bringing a high-conviction approach to each investment rather than spreading capital thinly across a large number of bets.
