About
ZILHive Ventures is the venture investment arm of ZILHive, the Singapore-headquartered ecosystem-growth platform built around the Zilliqa high-performance, sharded layer-1 blockchain. Founded in 2019 and led at the parent level by Han Wen Chua, Senior Vice President of Ecosystem Development at Zilliqa, ZILHive is structured as a five-pillar growth engine, Incubator, Accelerator, Ventures, Grants and Education, together designed to take a blockchain project from idea through prototype, fundraising, mainnet launch and commercial scale. ZILHive Ventures specifically deploys checks of $50K to $500K, in fiat, ZIL tokens, or a combination, into approximately 15 global Web3 startups per year that are building on the Zilliqa blockchain, with sector emphasis on blockchain for fintech, Open Finance, tokenization, stablecoins, payments and developer tooling, generally as a co-investor. The fund is anchored by a $5M strategic commitment from Zilliqa, and through ZILHive's broader programs more than 110 projects have been funded over 11-plus grant waves. Notable companies that have come through ZILHive cohorts and grants include Unstoppable Domains, ZenGo, a mobile self-custody wallet, Transak, a fiat on/off-ramp, Propine, a Singapore-licensed institutional tokenization and custody company, Notabene, a Y Combinator-backed Travel Rule compliance company, Rupiah Token, MugglePay, Cerchia and Invopay. The accelerator runs as a six-month program covering technical mentorship, fundraising support, business development and go-to-market. By combining a venture fund with incubation, acceleration, grants and education around the Zilliqa blockchain, ZILHive Ventures backs global Web3 founders building in fintech, Open Finance, tokenization and payments.
