Competitors & features
Investors don’t care about features. Harsh but true. Why? Because anyone can copy your features once they are proven successful. It’s time to differentiate and stand out with something that cannot be easily copied.
Here are the four kinds of differentiation.
👩🏼🔬 User experience. In reality, investors want the ultimate product, a product that's intuitive and enjoyable to use. It’s not just about looks; it’s about functionality and flow.
👨🏼🎨 UX/UI design. A streamlined usable interface feels like you care. About your users. UX isn’t just about making things look sexy. UX is making things easier. UX is about getting people from A to B.
🧚🏻♂️ Value. Why does your product exist? What’s the problem you are trying to solve? What’s the payoff, the thing that makes people’s lives better? Features are just the tools. The real question is: what’s the payoff? If you don’t have a big payoff, you shouldn’t spend the money. If your product doesn’t deliver significant value, it’s not worth the investment.
🏃🏼♀️ Time to value. Time is money. Can users see your product’s benefits in the shortest time possible? The shorter, the better. Investors love time to value because it brings faster adoption and faster growth.
