Are you less likely to raise funds if your company is younger? No, it has nothing to do with being a young business. It is not a bad thing. Some people might think young means you lack assets and experience, but it's all about execution.
Are you iterating and getting to market validation faster? Are you hitting milestones? Are you getting traction? If you are moving fast, even if your underlying business plan is only 50 percent right, your young business is often more in demand from VC investors than a 5-year-old startup that has not made much progress.
One thing is certain: if you’re a young business, make sure you talk about your velocity in your pitch. Mention that you’re getting things done quickly, you’re validating the market quickly, you’re reaching milestones quickly. The idea is to generate some momentum in the investor’s brain and convince him that now is the time to bet on you.
